The hybrid in the Executive Sedan class

The Lexus ES 300h (ES300h) is one of the vehicles we run in the Executive Sedan class of our chauffeur service, alongside the Mercedes E-Class. It carries three passengers and two cases, and its hybrid powertrain runs on battery at low speed, so the cabin is close to silent in traffic and the trip produces lower emissions than a conventional sedan on the same route.

There is no separate fare for it: an Executive Sedan booking is priced the same whichever car arrives, from $124 for Melbourne Airport to the CBD. Request the Lexus on the booking form and we confirm it on the quote subject to availability.

When to ask for the Lexus

  • Corporate travel with a reporting line

Companies tracking travel emissions can request the hybrid for staff and client transfers. Same Executive Sedan fare, lower tailpipe output, and an invoice that says which car was used. See corporate transfers.

  • Airport runs where quiet matters

Early flights and late arrivals in a car that creeps through CityLink queues on electric drive. Met inside the terminal, flight tracked, fixed fare. See Melbourne Airport transfers.

  • Hotel and city transfers

Three passengers, two cases, dropped at the hotel entrance. Fares by hotel are on the hotel transfers page.

Lexus ES300h or Mercedes E-Class?

Both are Executive Sedans driven by our professional chauffeurs at the same fare, seat three and take two cases. The E-Class is the default allocation; the ES300h is the hybrid option for guests who prefer it or need it for an emissions report. If you want the more spacious rear seat and the flagship badge, step up to the Mercedes S-Class or Audi A8 in the Premium Sedan class. For four passengers or more luggage, the Audi Q7 Luxury SUV is the next step. Compare every class on the fleet page.

Lexus ES300h questions

How much does it cost to hire a chauffeur in Melbourne?

A fixed one-way transfer starts at $124 for Melbourne Airport to the CBD in an Executive Sedan; other suburbs, vehicle classes and standby bookings are quoted the same way, in writing, before you confirm. There is no meter and no surge.

Does the Lexus cost more than the E-Class?

No. Both are Executive Sedans and priced identically: $124 fixed from Melbourne Airport to the CBD, the same on every route.

Is the ES300h a hybrid I need to charge?

No. It is a self-charging petrol-electric hybrid; the battery recharges as it drives, so there is no plug and no range limit on a regional run.

Can I guarantee the Lexus for my booking?

Ask for it when you book. We confirm it on the quote when it is available on your date; otherwise the Mercedes E-Class is supplied at the same fare.

How many bags fit?

Two large cases in the boot plus cabin bags. For four cases, book the Luxury SUV.
