Avalon is at Lara, about 55 km south-west of the CBD, and handles Jetstar domestic flights. It sits closest to Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, the Surf Coast and Melbourne’s western suburbs, so most Avalon transfers we run are to Geelong, Torquay, Ocean Grove, Werribee, Point Cook or the CBD along the Princes Freeway. Essendon Fields (MEB) transfers
Essendon Fields is 11 km north-west of the CBD and serves private and corporate aviation rather than airlines, with fixed-base operators handling charter and business jets. Transfers there are booked around the aircraft rather than a published schedule, so we work from the operator’s slot time, meet at the FBO you name, and wait as long as the arrival needs.
